Week Three: Boxes, Besoms, and Back-to-School

Week Three: Boxes, Besoms, and Back-to-School

The products have started to arrive. Which means my house currently looks like a cardboard graveyard and my brain is 50% bubble wrap. Every day another box shows up with something magical for the shop -- candles, crystals, gifts, you name it -- and I’m simultaneously thrilled and panicked about how to fit it all onto shelves that don’t even exist yet.

As if that weren’t enough, I’m also prepping for the Baker Street Fall Flea at the end of September and getting my oldest ready for her new Pre-K. So between mom life, street fair prep, and the fine art of creating SKU numbers that don’t make me cry, I’ve basically been living on cookies, diet coke, and vibes.

But here’s the thing -- I don’t want WhichCraft Studio to turn into just “a shop.” It started with my art, and that heartbeat is still what drives me. So every spare moment I can find (read: after bedtime, with a paintbrush in one hand and a smutty romance in my AirPods), I’m still creating new pieces to make sure my work lives alongside all the treasures I’m curating.

And because I don’t know the meaning of “doing one thing at a time,” I’m also prepping for my very first in-person Coven Craft Night. We’ll be making Besoms -- traditional witch’s brooms often used for protection, cleansing, or just looking extremely badass hanging on your wall. (Don’t worry, I’ll do a whole post about Besoms soon so you get the full folklore download.)

Exhausted? Yes. Stressed? Constantly. Busy? Absolutely. But in the absolute best way. Because every day this little dream gets a little more real -- and a little more magical.
